The Geo-Mathematical Imaging Group is seeking students interested in earning a doctoral degree in either mathematics or earth sciences. Interested individuals should contact professor Maarten V. de Hoop in October or November of the year preceding anticipated entry, and apply via the Department of Mathematics or the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Purdue University. Express your interest in the Group's research in your application statement. We seek excellence in a range of areas including analysis, computational mathematics, and geophysics.

The Geo-Mathematical Imaging Group offers year-round research funding for students and provides state-of-the art computers. Geo-Mathematical Imaging Group students have access to the TeraGrid and, through a collaborative program with LBL, possibly to NERSC's Cray XE6.
